Close the door
For just a while
And seek the peace within.
Shut out the world and all its noise
And let the silence in.
Close your ears for just a while
Until you only hear
That still, small voice that whispers
All is well
For you are here

Nurturing Touch and Baby Massage
with Gill Milsom, Nat. Birthlight Trainer 2pm to 3 p.m.
£6 per session: Tuesday afternoons

Young babies explore the world around them through their senses. They look, listen, taste, smell and touch and through this process they begin to discover themselves and key people in their lives. Touch is the most developed of a baby's senses. Studies show that early sensory exploration is crucial to subsequent emotional, physical and intellectual development.

  • Improved circulation and breathing
  • A calmer mind and better concentration
  • Reduced stress levels
  • An increased sense of aliveness and wellbeing

CRAFT MORNING
with CLARE BROWN Mondays 11.30 am to 2 pm
£7/Lets 25 Olivers

There is a growing feeling of disconnectedness with the earth and our roots and more and more people are turning to traditional craft technqiues to fulfil this need.  It is very beneficial to be in a group making things together and particularly a group project.  There is something very satisfying about dyeing wool from a sheep you have seen, carding wool, spinning, weaving, sewing and knitting.  Clare provides this space and gives all her knowledge to the questions of those who want to know.  She is thoroughly committed to the therapeutic value of group work using crafts.  Meeting peole at all levels where they feel most comfortable and being able to blend this into a group situation is truly a very special gift.

The current project we are undertaking is "Patterns of the World" where we are individually making our shapes and then sewing them all together to make one cohesive whole.  This will be featured in the forthcoming programme on the Lets scheme to be shown in January.
