Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy was first used by the Ancient Egyptians to promote health and cure sickness. It is the art of using essential oils to help restore balance in body, emotions and mind.
Essential oil is the extracted essence of the plant/flower/tree and can be used most effectively in massage.
Physically, it is primarily eliminative, strengthening the body's immune system. Psychologically it is deeply calming, balancing and revitalising.
Aromatherapy can be used effectively on its own or in conjunction with orthodox medicine. It can be used just once but its benefits are best felt with regular use. By treating the whole person balance is restored and well-being achieved.
Indian Head Massage
Indian Head Massage is the traditional massage of Asia and has been adapted by us in the West to include back, shoulders and neck where tension is often stored.
Back and shoulder massage loosens muscles, improves joint mobility, helps to relieve tension. Stimulates lymphatic flow and release of toxins. Scalp massage relaxes and stimulates circulation, encouraging growth and strength of hair. Facial massage tones up underlying muscles of face, improves circulation and helps to promote a clearer complexion, relaxes and smoothes away cares and worries.
The massage is given with the client sitting, fully clothed, in a chair and takes approximately half an hour. Ideal for the business environment when treatment can be given in the lunch hour.
Reflexology
Reflexology shares the same roots as Chinese Acupuncture and evidence shows us it was first practiced by the ancient Egyptians from 2500 BC. It is the art of the application of gentle pressure to reflexes in the foot which correspond to organs and parts of the body. By linking these energy pathways blockages caused by stress, poor diet and lifestyle can be released and flow of energy restored.
Reflexology stimulates the nervous system allowing proper functioning to take place. Blood circulation is improved and all other systems of the body regulated.
Reflexology can be used effectively on its own or in conjunction with orthodox medicine. It can be used just once but its benefits are best felt with regular use.
Reflexology promotes the continuation of good health, self-healing, rejuvenation and a sense of well-being.
Stress Management
Indian Head Massage can be included in a special stress management programme designed to suit individual needs. This will include identification of resources and setting realistic and achievable aims.
Some of the areas covered will include time, leisure, work, relationships, exercise, relaxation, sleep, diet and nutrition. A lifestyle plan will be worked out that can support and establish an optimum stress free living.
Spiritual Healing
Spiritual healing is the holistic therapy overarching all others.
What is it? It is the channelling of the energy of the cosmos towards the highest good of the individual. The practice is the art of and the discipline of allowing what needs to happen to happen.
The therapist is able to interpret and support the process which may be set in motion. "Depth", "trust", "detachment", "commitment" are all words which may arise in the unfolding of this Soul experience. It is a journey we both go on. I will learn as much as you! Enriching, enobling, empowering, together.
